Michael Holt is Senior Director of Business Development for NG Advantage. He is responsible for cultivating and closing new opportunities, identifying new markets, and nurturing existent relationships with midstream and downstream customers, including LDCs, pipelines, power plants and industrial customers.
Holt brings more than 30 years of diverse commodity trading experience in both international and domestic markets. This includes 16 years in the energy industry with roles ranging from asset and risk management, utility planning, and commodity marketing. His comprehensive industry knowledge is complemented by his passion for improving energy efficiency and brokering innovative energy solutions.
Prior to joining the NG Advantage team, Holt held various managerial positions with Direct Energy, Hess Corporation, Yankee Gas Service Company, Pace Global Energy Services, and Dominion Resources, Inc. (Virginia Power Energy Marketing). He started his career with 9 years at Cargill, where he served customers in European, North African, Asian, and American markets. His entire 30-year career has involved physical commodity trading and finding innovative ways to match supply with demand.
He brings more than 16 years of diverse experience in the energy industry including transaction structuring, origination, trading, physical option valuation, asset optimization, risk management and utility planning.
Holt received his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Ohio State University and earned his Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis.
