NG Advantage Achieves Another First with Hexagon Lincoln’s Ultra-High Capacity TITAN® XL Trailer

Colchester, VT. – NG Advantage LLC, which is majority-owned by Clean Energy Fuels (NASDAQ: CLNE), announced that it is the first virtual pipeline operator in the United States to use TITAN® XL trailers to deliver the benefits of compressed natural gas (CNG) to industrial and commercial customers located beyond the reach of pipelines. Built by Hexagon Lincoln in Lincoln, NE, the new XL trailers contain carbon fiber tubes that hold 45% more CNG than previous models.

“Higher capacity trailers mean less trips,” explained NG Advantage CEO Rico Biasetti. “Less trips benefit both the environment and our customers. That’s why we arranged with Hexagon Lincoln to purchase the first four of these trailers sold in the United States and have already put them into service. We have used trailers from Hexagon since our first delivery in 2013 and know them to be safe and very reliable.”

NG Advantage has delivered over 8.7 billion cubic feet of compressed natural gas to industrial and commercial customers since the inception of the company and currently has customers in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and Vermont. By switching to natural gas, NG Advantage customers have reduced CO2 emissions by more than 300 million pounds.
“Building on the success of the Titan IV, TITAN® XL employs leading-edge technology to create ultra-high capacity, which supports NG Advantage’s goals of delivering exceptional service, cost and operating benefits to its customers,” said Jack Schimenti, President of Hexagon Lincoln.
