NG ADVANTAGE DONATES 150 TURKEYS TO THE COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM & CALLS ON OTHER LOCAL BUSINESSES TO HELP THOSE IN NEED

The Community Action Program Aims to Empower Disadvantaged Individuals and Families This Thanksgiving Season

CONCORD, NH – NG Advantage is donating 150 locally-sourced turkeys to the Community Action Program (CAP), and calling on other local businesses and organizations to join the spirit of giving during the holiday season to help those who are less fortunate. With Thanksgiving approaching, the donation was not only timely but badly needed due to an unprecedented poultry and mead shortage. The turkeys, from the Market Basket in Hooksett, will be distributed to local families who are in need this holiday season.

“NG Advantage takes pride in doing what we can to be good partners in the communities we serve,” said NG Advantage CEO Rico Biasetti. “But we want to take that a step further this season, and call on our neighbors and partners in the business community to join us in the spirit of giving. Ultimately, none of our businesses can be successful without a strong community to support our work, and we all have a responsibility to help ensure these communities stay strong.”

“Our organization is so thankful for our community partnerships which are integral to our charitable and daily outreach,” said Sheree Westerlund, Director of Suncook Area Center. “NG Advantage’s generous donation helps provide critical resources for families who often have to choose between meals or their electric bills.”

The Community Action Program (CAP) in Belknap-Merrimack Counties covers both counties with Area Centers in the towns of Concord, Franklin, Meredith, Suncook, and Warner, and continues to make a lasting difference in these communities by organizing food donations and providing necessary financial and social support services. Their mission is to work towards empowering the most vulnerable individuals and families in their area. NG Advantage is hoping today’s donation helps spur a ripple effect, encouraging other local businesses and organizations to donate their time and the resources to these worthy causes.

The Suncook Area Center’s dedication to the populations they serve is represented by the meals they have given out to around 300 families spread across these five towns. However, they also rely on the generosity of their volunteers, residents, and local businesses to ensure that these families and individuals have food on their table and the support they deserve.

The Community Action Program for the Belknap-Merrimack Counties are still calling for donations for certain food products:  Protein fresh/frozen: Turkey, Ham, Hamburg (1lb pkgs) and Protein canned: tuna, peanut butter, beans. The Suncook Area Center is also organizing a coat drive where they are in great need of coats of all sizes for adults and children. For holiday toy donation, Pembroke and Allenstown residents can sign up for Toys For Tots by calling the Suncook office at (603) 485-7824. All donations can be delivered to their local CAP center in Concord, Franklin, Meredith, Suncook, and Warner.
